Magdalena Guillen is a senior at California State University, Fullerton, pursuing her bachelor's degree in both journalism and American studies.

Her participation with the Communications 438T class and Project Vietnam, have influenced her greatly to keep pursuing humanitarian endeavors and writing about them. She hopes to return to the bustling streets of Saigon, drink iced Vietnamese coffee under the warm sun and re-visit the friends she's made in that beautiful country. She hopes that her passion for journalism and traveling can one day take her around the world.

Magdalena serves on the executive board of several organizations on campus, including Society of Professional Journalists, Latino Journalists of CSUF and the Public Relations Student Society of America, as well as freelancing for the Daily Titan.
