Chelsea DeVere

In Feb 2012 Pak Chan brought her 2 month old baby Soum Dany to the Koh Kong Hospital in Cambodia for treatment of his bilateral cleft lip and palate by CHPAA (Cambodian Health Professional Association of America). Unable to treat him this year CHPAA educated Pak on how to properly feed her son in order to prepare his health for a free surgery with Operation Smile.

In an alley way in Koh Kong Cambodia Dr. Tony Chi and I found a very unique bakery. The Bakers were covered in tattoos that told a pictorial history of Cambodia's rich Khmer past. The smell of fresh baked bread pulled us into the bakery where we were witness to a very different environment for baking french bread.

Saiee is a game played in Cambodia with a long thin feathered birdie. It is kicked back and forth between players like American hacky Sack. These two men in the streets of Phnom Penh practice their skills of Saiee as though it were a martial art.

CHPAA (Cambodian Health Professionals Association of America) conducted a medical and dental mission in Koh Kong, Cambodia. Assisting thousand that are in need of aid and support. Led by the CHPAA Director Dr. Song Tan, the impoverished groups of the district of Koh Kong were given the hope of medical and dental treatment.
