This website represents the works of students in Jeffrey Brody's International Reporting class, from the College of Communications at California State University, documenting the life of the community and a medical mission in Guatemala with Refuge International in March 2015.

Over a two-week period, the group traveled to the remote and historic village of Chocolá, where they focused on the local hospital and clinic, as well as capturing the lifestyle and culture of the native people. Side trips included a visit to the bi-weekly Chichi Market in Chichicastenango, Lake Atitilan (Lago de Atitlán) in the highlands of the Sierra Madre mountain range, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Antigua, a city known for its historical architecture and churches.
